Discover Florence’s rich wine history on this urban walking wine tour that leads you through the heart of the city.
At our first stop, discover the fascinating history of Florence’s wine windows, known as “buchette del vino”. These small openings in the walls were used by winemakers to sell their wines directly to customers for centuries.
As we stroll through the city’s winding cobblestone streets, enjoy our next tasting at a historic wine shop that has been in the same family for generations.
Next, we will head over to a hidden wine cellar where we will indulge in another wine tasting while learning about the standards and certifications for Tuscan wine production.
We will then finish with a sweet treat, in a family-owned pastry boutique, that is the perfect accompaniment to our last wine tasting.
On this wine tour, you’ll get a chance to sample some of the best classic wines produced in this region as well as other lesser-known wines visiting 4 different locations and with a tasting at each stop. Whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just looking for a unique way to experience Florence’s rich wine culture, this urban wine tour is sure to leave you with a new appreciation for this historic city’s wine-making traditions. In the case of unexpected closures tasting locations may be substituted or the order of stops may change.

- Start with a stop at one of Florence’s Famous Wine windows
- Stroll along the cobblestone streets and head over to a local bar where you will rub elbows with the locals at a bar that has been owned for three family generations.
- Next, enjoy a glass of wine in a hidden wine cellar.
- Finish with a sweet local treat that is perfect for dunking.
- The tour includes 4 wine tastings and light snacks during the tastings.

- Is it possible to order something additional during the tour? Yes, of course. We have personally selected our tastings but if there is something additional you would like to order along the way it can be paid for independently upon ordering.
