Join us for a culinary journey, uncovering the heart of Tuscan cuisine, on our Florence Food tour. We’ll start out in a charming local neighborhood, sipping Italian-style coffee and mingling with locals. Next, we will dive into the vibrant open-air market, meeting fishermen and butchers, indulging in fresh local products. As we wander along the cobblestone streets, we explore historic and family-owned shops, stopping along the way to have a taste of each of their specialties. We will indulge in a hand-picked selection of food and drink tastings, from classic “cantucci” to traditional bites like “coccolo ripieno”. You’ll savor the essence of the region tasting truffle, first-press olive oil, sweets, meats, cheeses, wine, gelato, and much more. This Florence food tour is not just about what you’ll taste, but also about being a part of the local community, offering a true cultural experience!

Best Times for This Excursion
The best time for this tour is between 10 am and 1:30 pm in order to visit the largest fresh market. If the tour starts later than 1:30 pm the fresh market will be substituted for another local tasting.

- What happens if it rains? This tour runs rain or shine so please bring an umbrella if necessary.
- I have a food intolerance or allergy. Can I participate in the tour? We do our best to accomodate dietary requests and restrictions. Please see the dietary accomodations tab for more details or contact us if you have a specific dietary request or question.
- I don’t drink alcohol. Will there be something else for me? We can substitute a soda or a bottle of water for any alcohol tastings in which you don’t want to participate.

If you love food and local flavors, this tour is for you. Christy is knowledgeable and adventurous in her selections but very capable of tailoring her tour to your needs if you have any. I have taken this food tour with Christy on two seperate vacations and recommend her often to those visiting Florence. She was able to take my friends and me to different food stops each time I took the tour and only repeated if I asked to go to a specific place. If you want to walk the city and taste Florence like a local, this tour is a must!
